I'm Leigh. I've always loved mucking about with a pencil and have always had too many ideas, which led me to work in London, Hong Kong and Spain as an advertising art director and illustrator.

I was a finalist in the Scottish Portrait Artists Award 2020 and 2021, and I'm proud to be a part of Sky TV Portrait Artist of the Year, where I was lucky enough to paint the lithe and lovely Alexa Chung.

 

I love painting people - the challenge of using strong lines to capture a person.

It's taken me years to realise how much I enjoy making marks and experimenting, and this website is my version of an old studio in Paris...high windows, half completed canvases, paint tubes and charcoal, the wonderful scent of linseed oil...
